This audiovisual recording was filmed around 1985 during the Wood Library Native American Program (at that time called the Amerindian Program). This recording includes a docent leading a group of children playing Native American games outside of Wood and docents playing a trivia game about Native Americans inside of Wood. Barney Daley leads children and adult chaperones on an outdoor walking tour, explaining how Native Americans used different plants. Other docents lead students in making clay pots and weaving baskets. Jean Klein shows how Native Americans made fires, as well as leads students through grinding cornmeal and making corn patties. There are two copies of this recording on videocassette and two copies on DVDs that were digitized from the videocassette in 2016. |
