Historic Resources Inventory, completed in 2006, describes this as a two-story New England Colonial with massive brick chimney arranged centrally along ridge. Facade is 5/5 bays wide around central entrance that is covered by pedimented portico supported by slender Doric columns. The home was built by Zebulon King in 1761. There is detailed information on the King family including that Harriet King rented parts of house to private school, Masonic Lodge, Baptist Church, and a barber shop run by Vibert Donten. Mable and William Green restored house and moved it back from street. Current owner in 1986 was Mr. and Mrs. Fenton P. Futtner. |
