Title |
Judith Olsen written statement |
Scope & Content |
Olsen was interviewed by Linda Sunderland for the oral history program. She chose to rewrite the transcript, such that it differs considerably from the original audio. Because of this, the document is considered a written statement, although it is in an interview format. In this document, Olsen writes about her childhood. She talks about her memories of the games she and neighbor children played in the Meadows behind Main Street. She also talks about her teachers at Union District School and Ellsworth Memorial High School, including Albertus Jones. She discusses Wood Memorial Library, Bossen's Store, and cheerleading at school. Both of Olsen's parents, John K. and Ida Cutler, were the children of Polish immigrants, and she describes some of their family traditions and heritage. |
