Sherwood Waldron was born in Manchester, CT in 1925 and moved to South Windsor in 1933. Waldron and his twin brother Stanley raised tobacco until1955, when the market for Connecticut tobacco foundered. Then he became a produce distributor who shipped vegetables all over the world. He was the first to ship carrots out of Connecticut. He was General Manager and leaf buyer for the South Windsor Tobacco Farms. |
