Photocopy of newspaper article ("The Hartford Courant" 1977 Aug 1) reports that Bissell station postal clerk Madge Madson has been "catering to the dozen or so philatelists in town for the past 14 years." Madson relates that a commemorative stamp honoring Amadeo P Giannini, founder of Bank of America, was recalled because his name was misspelled. Copy included that has the date and newspaper information handwritten in pencil. |
