Description |
Three photocopies of cards (from Helen Pelton card file) with information on the church that was first known as the 2nd Congregational Church of Windsor. First meeting house built in 1694 had no floor or seats; in 1709, improvements made on same site, just north of Burying Ground and within sight of the Palisado in Windsor. "A third church built at lower end of town raised March 1714." In 1761 new church, with tall steeple and bell tower, was built . Current church constructed on same site in 1845. |
