Description |
Photograph of a combination store and post office in Wapping Center, which closed in 1925. The store was on the South Side of Ellington Road, opposite the Dorchester Building. According to a local source, the building was later used as a probate court office in the middle of the 20th century. The sign over the door reads "J.P.A. Priest." There are advertising signs for Coca-cola and tires on the front of the store. The sign above the door also reads "groceries, candy, bakery good, farmers supplies, cigars and tobacco." A man and a woman, Paul Priest and Lillian Grant, stand in front of the store. |
