Framed watercolor on paper painting by Amelia M. Watson of a tan-colored, two-story, wood-frame house with a Connecticut Valley doorway and a central chimney. There is a vine growing up the right side of the house and a tree in front of the left side of the house. On the back is the note, "The old Henrietta Rockwell house, later known as the Thomas Southergill house, to be given to the Wood Memorial Library, South Windsor, Conn. Signed, Grace Wilson, May 12th [or 17th], 1936" The pictured house, now demolished, was also known as the Thomas Southergill house. |
