Framed watercolor on paper painting by Amelia M. Watson of a two-story wood-frame house in disrepair, with holes in the roof and advertising signs hung on the outside walls. Trees, a flowering vine, and bushes partially obscure the front of the house. On the back is the note, "The old Henrietta Rockwell House East Windsor Hill Conn to be given to the Wood Memorial Library South Windsor Conn. Grace Wilson May 17, 1936." The pictured house, now demolished, was also known as the Thomas Southergill house. |
