Watercolor on paper painting by Albertus Jones, mostly in oranges and yellows, which previously hung in a home economic classroom at Roosevelt Junior High School in New Britain. Jones painted it when he was working for the WPA during the Great Depression. It is unclear whether the title, "New England Farm Scene" was given to the painting by Jones or whether a later owner named it. |
