Description |
Gilt Mirror- large. Late Federal gilt wood and gesso wall mirror. Has upright frame with level, projecting crest having pendant ball ornament. Frieze with central shell-molded ornament. above the glass in two sections, all flanked by split, turned swirl-molded stiles resting on block corners. Split, ring-turned base. Photo #8 in photo album. Mirror is mounted above the pier table against the south wall. made circa 1830 in America. Appraised by Robert L.
