Historic Resources Inventory, completed 2006, describes this as a two and one-half story Federal style house with the gable end facing the street. A large single story addition is located on the southern side. The house originally stood on south corner of Main Street and Pleasant Valley; it was build by William White 1846. Daniel White also mentioned as living in house. House sold to Nathaniel Jones in 1872 and moved, about 1890, to present location 1236 Main Street. When moved, it was added to the ell of a house built by Ebenezer Williams. In the early 1900's the Driscoll family owned house and farmed tobacco. Sam Willard bought and restored house in the 1960's. |
